Our Lady of Lourdes, Vidalia, La

In 2019, our studio created ten breathtaking leaded stained glass windows for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidalia, LA. These dynamic works center on the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, depicting her presence and influence across key moments in Christ’s life — from the Nativity to the Crucifixion. Each window blends traditional religious symbolism with contemporary stylistic elements, using traditional glass painting, antique handblown opals, transparent glass, and occasional fused accents.

In 2024, as a continuation of this work, we were honored to return to the church to create a kiln-formed, gold-leafed glass panel for the altar. The new piece depicts Mary and John at the foot of the cross and features a mandorla radiating from the crucifix, seamlessly enhancing the sanctuary’s design. Drawing inspiration from traditional Russian iconography, the luminous effect was achieved through a specialized gold-leaf technique applied to sculpted glass. Dimensional rays, Easter lilies, and finely painted figures complete this meaningful addition to the church’s sacred art.
